About the role

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our Kerry Dairy Ireland site in Listowel.

This is a full-time, seasonal role. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00 with occasional overtime on weekends.

Where will you work?
Listowel is where Kerry Dairy Ireland originated. The site has one of the largest facilities in Kerry, where we process large quantities of milk to produce range of products, like Dairy Proteins, Primary Dairy Ingredients, Dairy Flavours and more. The site has onsite parking and canteen. It's conveniently located close to N69 road and it's 20 minutes by walk from the Listowel town centre.

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities as the Warehouse Operative will include:

* Carrying out material inspections and checks before loading. Checking that labelling and packaging are correct.
* Unloading incoming materials (dairy, raw materials, pallets, etc.) and completing incoming inspections.
* Preparing and dispatching air freight.
* Handling chemicals and off-loading bulk chemical deliveries.
* Managing warehouse stock using SAP.
* Working in cold stores (chilled and frozen).
* Working at height using Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).
* Operating forklifts - counterbalance and Aisle Master articulated trucks.
* Grading and segregating products and storing materials in racks.
* Complying with company Health, Quality, Safety and Environment policies.
* Maintaining warehouse hygiene and clean working environment.
* Following good hygiene practices across all areas of responsibility.
* Liaising with managers, supervisors, the Department of Agriculture, Shipping, Quality and the Supply Chain Office, as required.

What do you need to be successful?

To succeed in this role, you will have:

* Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage a busy workload and tight deadlines.
* Warehouse experience in food manufacturing environment (advantageous).
* Good working knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
* A valid FLT license (advantageous).
* Flexibility in relation to working hours and departments, based on business needs.
* The ability to multitask and meet daily and weekly targets.
* Commitment, persistence, and resilience to overcome setbacks.
* Effective communication skills.
* Strong numerical and computer skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
* Eligibility for Garda Vetting/Background Checks (required for the IAA Air Freight License).
