Primary purpose and overall objective of the job
As part of the Customer Care Industry Adriatic team, the Field Application Specialist's primary mission is to achieve customer satisfaction through any activity that helps develop bioMérieux's image and perception in the customer's mind across all applications related to the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, and veterinary sectors for the Italian North West IVD Industry Market.
Main accountabilities
- Provide high-level scientific and biological support services to bioMérieux customers in the use of our systems/products and in resolving related issues
- Conduct joint visits with members of the sales team
- Be actively involved in scientific events and perform demonstrations (at customer sites, remotely, or in showrooms)
- Collaborate with all industry functions (sales/marketing) and with Clinical Field Application Specialists to provide biological and application support on reagents and instruments at customer sites, including troubleshooting application issues on systems, reagents, and softwareIdentify customer needs for scientific training, promote training at the bioMérieux Training Center in Florence, and train customers on products and systems
- Prepare and translate training, technical, and illustrative materials, and manage evaluations and demonstrations of our products/systems
- Support project preparation, deliver detailed solution presentations, and contribute to achieving product/system sales objectives
Skills and Qualifications:
· Master Degree in Biotechnology/ Microbiology
· Customer and solution oriented mindset
· Organized, rigorous and autonomous
· Customer Service acumen, analytical & synthesis mindset, availability and agility
· Professional background as a lab technician, life science or industry
· Ability to handle CRM (reporting and dashboard)
· English language proficiency (B2/C1 level)
Location
Role-based in North West Italy, with availability to travel throughout North Italy (Lombardy, Piedmont, Valle D'Aosta, Liguria)
Availability to travel 80-90% of the time; field-based job
