Job Description:

Hiring: Electronics Cost Engineer (Sensors, ECUs, Modules) - Mexico City (Hybrid)

We are currently looking for an Electronics Cost Engineer with strong experience in automotive electronic components such as sensors, ECUs, modules, and adaptors, to join a global engineering team. This is a hybrid position based in Mexico City, with availability to attend offices in Santa Fe.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed cost models for electronic components, including materials, labor, overhead, and manufacturing processes
* Analyze electronic manufacturing processes such as PCB assembly (SMT/THT), reflow/wave soldering, AOI inspection, functional testing, and EOL testing
* Evaluate BOM structures including semiconductors, PCBs, connectors, housings, and electronic components
* Perform supplier cost breakdowns, benchmarking, and VA/VE activities to drive cost optimization
* Support NRE and tooling cost analysis, including test fixtures and electronic assemblies
* Track market trends in semiconductors and electronic components for cost forecasting.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field
* Experience in cost engineering, electronics manufacturing, or product costing (automotive preferred)
* Strong understanding of electronic components and PCB manufacturing processes
* Ability to work in a global and cross-functional environment
* Advanced English (written and spoken)

Location: Mexico City (Hybrid - Santa Fe)
