About the role

We are looking for a proficient Manager - Platform Architect GCP who will be instrumental in guiding the design, implementation, and optimization of our platform on Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GCP services, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully leading platform engineering teams.

Your responsibilities

-Create and maintain architectural blue prints for development in GCP
-Introduce new services / tools in the GCP platform
-Provide guidance on best practices, technical standards, and professional development for the team.
-Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of GCP infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
-Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools for efficient and automated deployment processes
-Work closely with the security team to implement and enforce security measures in GCP environments.
-Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to GCP platform services.

The experience we're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in a lead role overseeing platform engineering on Google Cloud Platform.
- In-depth knowledge of GCP services and infrastructure components.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and GCP security best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
