CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider ofintegrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruitingfor a Multi Skilled Electrical Technician.
CBRE is seeking a proactive and safety-driven Electrical Engineerto work on a critical industrial site at Fawley Refinery. This role is centralto ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of electrical systemsacross a high-hazard environment. You will work as part of a multi-skilledengineering team, demonstrating a strong can-do attitude, ownership mindset,and unwavering commitment to health, safety, and operational excellence.
This position builds on the core responsibilities outlined in theFabric Technician role while elevating technical accountability, compliance,and safety leadership expected of an Electrical Engineer working in a refineryenvironment.
What You'll Do
Safety & Compliance (Primary Focus)
* Actively promote and uphold CBRE and client health, safety, andenvironmental (HSE) standards at all times, with zero tolerance for unsafepractices.
* Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant legislation, siterules, and safety regulations (including permits to work, isolations, and lock-out/tag-outprocedures).
* Inspect new and existing electrical installations to verifycompliance with statutory requirements, site standards, and safety regulations.
* Challenge unsafe conditions or behaviours constructively and stopwork where safety is compromised.
Electrical Engineering & Maintenance
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactivemaintenance on electrical systems, plant, and associated infrastructure.
* Diagnose faults efficiently and implement safe, effective repairsto minimise downtime on critical assets.
* Support the installation, modification, and improvement ofelectrical equipment and systems across the site.
* Ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in accordancewith manufacturer and site specifications.
Operational Support & Teamwork
* Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines, siteoperations, and CBRE management to deliver consistent service.
* Assist wider engineering staff with technical input and sitesupport as required.
* Respond professionally to client, colleague, and supervisorenquiries, maintaining CBRE's high standards of customer care.
Continuous Improvement & Attitude
* Demonstrate a positive, solution-focused can-do attitude,taking ownership of tasks and seeing work through to completion.
* Follow defined procedures while contributing ideas to improvesafety, reliability, and efficiency within your remit.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation using Microsoft Officeand site systems.
Essential
What You'll Need:
* Proven experience working with electrical systems in anindustrial, energy, manufacturing, or refinery environment.
* Strong understanding of electrical safety, safe systems of work,and compliance-driven maintenance.
* Ability to follow defined technical procedures and workinstructions while maintaining attention to detail.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to exchange clear andstraightforward information.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Experience working on process-critical or COMAH-regulated sites.
* Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and contractor control.
* Experience using maintenance management systems and standardoffice software.
Qualifications
* Electrical qualification to an appropriate industry standard (e.g.apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience).
* Relevant electrical safety or compliance training (site-specifictraining will be provided).
Physical & Working Requirements
* Ability to work safely in an operational industrial environment.
* Capable of standing, walking, climbing ladders/stairs, andhandling equipment in line with site requirements.
* Willingness to work within site rules, shift patterns, or call-outarrangements as required.
