As the UK's leading pub, cider, and beer business, we're home to some of the world's best-loved ciders and beers, and a leading player in the international drinks industry. But there's so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye.

Right now, we're looking for a Business Central Application Technical Lead to join our Digital & Technology functions to take ownership of one of our most important platforms across Star Pubs.

About the role
This is a senior technical role where you'll own the ongoing design, stability, and direction of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across Star Pubs.

You'll be the go-to technical authority for the platform. You'll shape its evolution, make key design decisions, and ensure what we deliver is robust, scalable, and aligned to wider business and technology strategy.

You won't lead a large team, but you will lead through expertise. You'll work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and delivery partners to keep the platform performing and evolving in the right way.

Business Central sits at the heart of our Star Pubs estate, so your decisions will directly influence how our pubs operate day to day.

Key Responsibilities
Own the platform

* Own the end-to-end technical solution for Microsoft Business Central

* Set the roadmap, standards, and overall technical direction

* Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and wider D&T strategy

* Approve key design decisions impacting the platform

Shape delivery

* Act as the technical authority across projects, enhancements, and releases

* Ensure high-quality design, build, and testing across all change

* Assess cross-system impacts and integration dependencies

* Maintain consistency and long-term sustainability of solutions

Drive stability and performance

* Own 2nd and 3rd line support and ensure effective support models and SLAs

* Reduce repeat incidents and improve platform reliability

* Drive continuous improvement, optimisation, and reduction of technical debt

Manage integrations and landscape

* Own integration architecture across Business Central and surrounding systems

* Ensure data integrity, performance, and resilience

* Lead impact analysis for upstream and downstream changes

Work with partners and stakeholders

* Govern third-party support and delivery partners

* Work closely with Product Owners and senior stakeholders

* Translate business priorities into clear technical outcomes

* Balance UK business needs with global standards

Lead through expertise

* Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal and partner teams

* Support planning across projects and BAU

* Contribute to wider technology strategy and future capability

Who we're looking for?
This role suits someone who enjoys owning a platform and being the person others turn to for technical direction.

What you'll bring:

* Strong ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Business Central (or SAP/other ERP)

* Experience operating as a Technical Lead, Application Lead, or Solution Architect

* Proven ownership of application design, architecture, or roadmaps

* Strong understanding of finance and core business processes

* Experience with system integrations and cross-system impact assessment

* Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external partners

It would be great if you also have:

* FMCG, retail, or multi-site experience

* Exposure to global vs local ERP delivery models

If you enjoy solving complex technical problems, improving how systems work, and having real ownership of a critical platform, this could be the role for you.

Our Benefits
As part of the team, along with your salary, you'll also receive;

* Discretionary Annual bonus

* Flexible benefits (15% of base salary can be taken as cash, benefits, or a mix of both)

* Company funded Private Medical Healthcare

* Double matched pension (up to 10%)

* 35 days holiday

* A quarterly allowance towards purchasing our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)

* Comprehensive Opportunities to develop.

You'll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we're always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.

Heineken's Global Purpose is to "brew the Joy of True Togetherness to inspire a better world", and to fulfil this, we believe in working closely with each other and collaborating face-to-face when we can. Together with your application, please provide a cover letter outlining why we should want to meet you and what you would bring to HEINEKEN. We may close vacancies early where we receive lots of applications, so don't delay!
