The project: Our client is the utilities provider in the South-East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long-term value for all.
You will work within capital delivery, and you will work with project teams in a collaborative environment interacting positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of a number of water and water recycling projects and/or programmes within their AMP8 programme. The role will ensure our clients project governance procedures are followed including risk, cost and change control and will work collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver projects.
Directing the health, safety and quality delivery for Coastal Waters. Responsible for H&S assessments and audits, investigates incidents and ensures adherence to statutory and AWS HSQE standards. Support and offer guidance to the CWPD Team. Active involvement with the CDM 2015 process as well as working closely and collaboratively with the Main Works Contractor H&S teams. Ensure that CWPD works are delivered in compliance with quality standards and assist in the onboarding of the major project framework contractors with respect to health, safety and quality.
You'll need to have:
* Proven competence in risk assessment, method statement review, and safe systems of work in construction/civil engineering environments.
* Demonstrable experience delivering H&S inspections/audits, incident investigation (incl. root cause analysis) and corrective action tracking using established CDEs.
* Working knowledge of UK H&S legislation (e.g., HSWA, Management Regs, RIDDOR) and contractor management in a Design and Build environment.
* Quality management exposure: audits/assurance, NCRs and familiarity with ISO 9001 principles.
* Ability to produce clear H&S/quality documentation and performance reporting (e.g., dashboards/KPIs).
* NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent)/membership of IOSH.
* CDM 2015 knowledge with experience supporting Principal Designer/Principal Contractors and project assurance.
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to attend project offices/sites across the programme as required.
