Virtualized Platform Administrator

Main Mission: ensure optimal operation, availability, and performance of the VATES / XCP-ng virtualization platform.

Responsibilities

* XCP-ng pool management: hosts, hypervisors, virtual networks, SR

* VM monitoring and resource optimization (CPU/RAM/IOPS)

* Automation through Xen Orchestra, Vates API, or scripts (Python/Bash)

* VM lifecycle management (creation, migration, snapshots, HA)

* HA setup, live migration, cluster optimization

* Participation in deployments, hypervisor patching, and orchestrator updates

* Collaboration with storage team (NetApp provisioning)

* Level 2/3 virtualization incident resolution

* Hypervisor network management

Key Skills

* XCP-ng hypervisors, Xen Orchestra, Linux

* Scripting (Bash/Python)

* SR knowledge (iSCSI / NFS / Storage Repos)
