The opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting, Compliance & Reporting Staff (Staff ACR) to join our Accounting, Compliance & Reporting team in Suriname. In this role, you will engage with clients to provide financial reporting and support, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and contributing to the overall financial health of our clients' organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding financial reporting and accounting inquiries, building strong relationships to understand their needs.
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Assist clients in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing insights and recommendations to enhance their financial strategies.
* Monitor and analyze clients' financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
* Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes for clients, including reconciliations and adjustments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support clients' financial decision-making and strategic initiatives.
* Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial policies for clients to safeguard their assets.
* Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries on behalf of clients.
* Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance reporting processes for clients.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
* Experience in accounting, compilation, controlling, or financial reporting, preferably within a professional services environment.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Caseware Cloud is an advantage.
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication (Dutch, English & Papiamentu) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
