We are looking for an aspiring Electrical Apprentice that will have the opportunity to kick-start their career with Australia's leading rail contractor and will learn from a team of expert tradespersons who are committed to delivering exceptional projects.

At John Holland we see our Electrical apprentices as our future rail leaders in the field, and you'll complete the learning and development with the support from our experience and dedicated electrical team in the field that's designed to arm you with the skills needed for a big future in our industry.

As an Electrical Apprentice you'll gain practical on the job experience while receiving extensive training and a Certificate III in electrotechnology. Apprenticeships are typically for four years with the ability to complete earlier.

Over the 4-year term of the apprenticeship you'll gain skills and experience with:

* Low Voltage Installations
* Signalling equipment Installations
* Rail Signalling Control System testing/maintenance

Working conditions:

* Primarily based on site in the Pilbara region of WA
* Workshop and site based work throughout apprenticeship and career.
* Outside of formal training schedule, work will typically be on a roster of 14 days onsite followed by 7 days of rest and recreation leave
* John Holland will cover the cost of successfully completed TAFE units
* Must be able to provide own transport to travel to TAFE

To be successful in this role you must have:

* A genuine passion for Electrical Work.
* An ability to undertake manual/physical work
* Completed a pre-Apprenticeship course in Electrotechnology (Preferred)
* Ability to work at heights
* Ability to follow instruction and work effectively in a team
* And understanding of WHS
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong work ethic
* An ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure
* Motivated and reliable
