Your tasks
Whether it's a mandatory or voluntary internship - As an intern (m/f/d), you will definitely benefit from attractive remuneration and will support the team with the following responsible tasks from 15.09.2026:

* Collaboration on research projects in the area of future generations of mobile communications with a focus on Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC)
* Support in the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative communication and sensor concepts
* Carrying out data analyses and developing algorithms with Python
* Collaboration in the simulation, modelling and validation of radio systems
* Support in implementing and optimizing technical solutions in Linux-based environments
* Analysis and solution of complex technical issues in the research environment
* Documentation of research results and preparation of presentations and scientific evaluations
* Cooperation with international research teams and active contribution to innovative technology projects for the next generations of mobile communications

Your profile
You are studying information technology, a comparable degree program or are in a gap year.

You also have the following knowledge and skills

* A solid foundation in scientific research and methodology
* Demonstrable ability to analyze and interpret complex data
* Profound Python programming skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* General programming skills and affinity
* Hands-on experience with Linux environments
* Basic understanding of wireless communication systems

Nice-to-have Skills
* Experience with 5G/6G communication systems
* Practical experience with software-defined radio (SDR) or testbed development
* Machine learning skills in the context of wireless communication
* Strong interest in theoretical research and practical system implementation
