Internship in the field of development of exhaust aftertreatment systems for gasoline engines from September 2024

At the Mercedes-Benz Technology Center, the research and development departments shape future generations of automobiles. In the development department (RD/EIP), exhaust gas purification concepts for gasoline engines are developed, among other things. This includes basic studies on design, the definition of catalytic converter/filter concepts and lifetime validation (durability).
These are your tasks:
* Planning and carrying out tests on innovative exhaust concepts on the highly dynamic engine test bench and in the vehicle
* Processing, interpretation and documentation of the resulting emission results
* Further development of exhaust concepts with regard to NOx, CO and THC conversion and the avoidance of by-products
* Hardware management for the tests

Qualifikationen

* Degree in process engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering or a comparable course of study
* Proficient in written and spoken German and English
* Confident handling of MS Office
* Knowledge of exhaust gas aftertreatment is desirable
* Knowledge of combustion engines is an advantage
* Commitment
* Team player with organizational talent
* Interest in technical, chemical and physical processes and enjoy practical work
* Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
* Driving license class B

The internship lasts 6 months.
