The External Affairs (EA) division is responsible for representing the Group's interests vis-à-vis politicians and external organizations. With offices in Berlin, Washington, Brussels and Beijing and a worldwide network of EA Representatives, it forms a global political framework for strategic and operational corporate interests. The internship is located in the Political Operations department, which focuses on national and international location and production/sales issues as well as regulatory framework conditions. These topics require political expertise on current global industrial policy issues, the analysis of political framework conditions for localization strategies, the analysis of reputational issues and the flanking of corresponding projects on site.
Your tasks in the "Strategic Projects and Local Affairs" team will include
* Collaboration in current projects and issues as well as taking on an independent project in cooperation with the team leader
* Monitoring and analyzing national and international (industrial) policy issues (ad-hoc and long-term), deriving needs for action, corresponding upstream research activities
* Collaboration in the preparation of briefings for top management
* Processing and preparing current political topics for e.g. presentations and events
* Assisting in the preparation and implementation of delegation visits
* Monitoring and analyzing strategic location transformation projects as part of our Electric-Only strategy
* Taking on other administrative, organizational and conceptual tasks
* Independent creation of community outreach plans in collaboration with colleagues from all over the world

Qualifikationen

* Degree in international relations, political science, economics, law, business administration, international management or a comparable course of study
* Proficient in written and spoken German and English, other languages an advantage
* Confident handling of MS Office
* Knowledge: extensive interest in the interface between politics and business and in political issues, knowledge of national and international political systems
* Enthusiasm for working in a global group and international working environment
* The exact starting date will be determined jointly as part of the recruitment process
