About the team
You will be joining the Groceries KSA team, part of Careem's fast-growing Quick Commerce vertical, with a focus on bringing new retail partners onto the Careem platform. The team is dynamic, driven, and passionate about delivering quality experiences to our users through deep local market understanding and operational excellence.
About the role
As a Scouting Intern, you will support our business development team in identifying, onboarding, and launching new merchants onto the Careem Groceries platform. You will play a crucial role in helping expand our retail network, with hands-on exposure to merchant discovery, data collection, and operational readiness.
What you'll do
* Scout and identify potential new retail partners across Riyadh
* Collect and validate merchant information including store type, inventory, and pricing
* Conduct initial outreach to merchants and explain the Careem value proposition
* Support the onboarding process by coordinating with internal teams and gathering necessary documentation
* Ensure smooth merchant go-live by tracking operational readiness and troubleshooting any setup issues
* Maintain accurate records and reports of scouting activities
What you'll need
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or a recent graduate
* Strong communication skills in Arabic and English
* High attention to detail and organizational skills
* Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work independently on the ground
* Familiarity with Riyadh's retail landscape is a plus
