What To Expect
Location: Brussels, Belgium

Start date: February/March 2026

Duration: 6 months

Time type: Full-time (38h a week)

This internship will provide opportunities to work with the EV Charging and Energy Public Policy & Business Development Team on policy and business development, market analysis, and strategic engagement at the EU and national level. You will be part of a team responsible for creating and implementing the company's electric vehicle charging regulatory and legislative strategies. This includes work on grid integration programs, equipment standards, permitting and local codes, fleet electrification, and medium-and-heavy duty charging, with an opportunity to learn and grow, working across the team to support its full range of efforts.

What You'll Do

* Support the policy team by monitoring and analyzing EU legislative and regulatory developments relevant to EV charging (AFIR, EPBD, REDIII, grid-related initiatives) and managing complex, cross-functional projects
* Work with internal teams to get cross-functional input, and advise on public policy developments
* Assist with the development of new policy and business initiatives
* Opportunity to develop capstone project on priority charging policy issue
* Collaborate with external stakeholders to amplify public policy priorities

What You'll Bring

* Degree in a relevant field such as Political Science, Public Policy, International Studies, or related fields with a focus on energy and sustainability
* EV charging/energy policy experience within government and/or relevant nonprofits, public interest groups or industry associations is considered a plus
* Experience and understanding of the EU legislative & regulatory process from prior work and/or academic experience
* Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with experience successfully managing multiple complex, cross-functional projects simultaneously
* Level C1 in English (written and spoken); additional languages considered a plus
* Able to make a 6-month commitment
