This Position reports to:Production Manager

This internship will take place at the Iberville plant. The student will therefore be required to work on-site from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities

* 50% of the intern's time will be dedicated to managing health and safety projects or initiatives.
* Manage various improvement projects within our production operations.
* Consult and collaborate with employees to implement Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) or engineering projects.
* Plan, organize, and follow up with stakeholders while supporting change management efforts.
* As needed, support the Quality team in improving production-related issues.
* Act in accordance with ABB's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions while caring for your colleagues and the company.

Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Production, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience in project management and operational process optimization using Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, MRP systems, AutoCAD; VBA programming is considered an asset).
* Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage projects and priorities based on objectives; excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Collaborative team player with leadership abilities.
* French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
