Job Description

Local News interns will be assigned a variety of reporting tasks focused on events in and around North Texas. Assignments will range from spot news to quick-turn and long-term enterprise coverage.
You will also be expected to:
* Take smartphone photos and video.
* Actively use social media in the news-gathering process.

* Receive mentorship, regular feedback, and skill-building workshops.
* Contribute to published work across digital and print platforms.
* Be treated as a full newsroom member-pitching ideas, attending editorial meetings, and collaborating across teams.
* Gain hands-on multimedia and cross-platform storytelling experience.

Job Requirements

* Must be enrolled in college and working toward a degree (associate's, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate) or have graduated within six months prior to the internship start date.
* Must include a cover letter, résumé with references, and 3-5 published clips. Applicants may also include 1-2 photos or a short video sample to showcase visual or multimedia storytelling.
* Reliable transportation is strongly preferred.
* Samples must be legible and clearly labeled; incomplete applications will not be considered
