Your impact
Jacobs is seeking a Water Treatment Engineering Intern to join our Buildings & Infrastructure - Water team in Anchorage, Alaska, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and to support the delivery of cutting-edge projects for both local and global Water clients ; which would include; development and application of environmental and water treatment, resources analyses, to support local, regional, state, and water management planning and design studies; planning and design for water storage, conveyance, and distribution projects; performing research, technical writing, and development of documentation and studies as well as data collection, processing, and analysis to support water resources planning activities.
Each day, you will be an important team member as you assist with projects for our clients.
In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team taking on a variety of tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application. Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff you will receive expert mentorship opportunities to ensure you thrive in your career support for water resources projects. Utilizing software such as computer-aided design (CAD) and Revit you will analyze data to support project delivery.
Your responsibilities will also include; working under the supervision of senior level engineers, Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, Make field trips and conduct field audits, Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals and Prepare planning, engineering and/or construction documents, reports, studies, and calculations.

Here's what you'll need
* Qualifications
* In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering
* Must be at least a rising Junior
* Basic knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, basic rendering and publishing programs
* The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience
* 3.0 GPA
* In pursuit of a master's degree
* Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
* Self-driven time management and organizational skills
* Have or are working towards an engineer-in-training (EIT) certification
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS Pro
* Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

The base salary range for this position is $42,000.00 to $62,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
