Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Safety Engineering Intern in our Middletown, PA facility starting in August 2026 for the Fall 2026 semester. This on-site, part-time position requires the ideal candidate to be located within the general area. No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance will be provided for this role.

Kick-start your career in Safety Engineering with a role designed for learning and growth. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting environmental, health, and safety initiatives while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your development.

What will you do:

* Assist with risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
* Support the development and implementation of site-specific safety training programs.
* Help digitize Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) documentation and improve record management processes.
* Contribute to projects focused on mitigating and managing the site's top safety hazards.
* Lead and support 5S safety initiatives to improve workplace organization and safety performance.
* Participate in ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements to help reduce workplace injuries.
* Assist with Environmental Health & Safety program reviews and continuous improvement activities.
* Support Behavior-Based Safety initiatives to promote a strong safety culture across the facility.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and seasoned professionals on a variety of safety-related projects and initiatives.

What qualifications will make you successful:

* Genuine interest in Environmental Health, Safety, and Engineering with a desire to learn and grow.
* Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
* Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in all tasks.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Team-oriented approach and comfort working under guidance and supervision.
* Ability to analyze data, identify risks, and support problem-solving efforts.
* Proactive attitude and willingness to embrace new challenges and responsibilities.
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
