Title:National Security Solutions (NSS) - Technical Intern

Project Overview

KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students seeking science, engineering and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our 2025 Intern class.

KBR is recruiting full-time Engineering Interns for the summer term. This internship will include the creation and integration of a hardware prototype system to support scientific research.

Key Responsibilities
* Research and gather requirements.
* Develop system architecture diagram.
* Prototype a minimum viable product (MVP).
* Test, debug, and iterate on design features.
* Document the project and deliver the final product.

Learning Outcomes & Impact

This project will provide the opportunity to learn valuable research skills and practice hardware/software integration while dealing with user requirements and expectations.

Minimum Qualifications
* Full-time rising junior, senior, or graduate student working toward an engineering degree, ABET-accredited preferred.
* Must work well in both a team environment and independently.
* Must have excellent computer skills.
* Must have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement.
* Self-motivated; takes ownership of projects and issues, and following issues through to resolution.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
* Major field of study: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

* Signal processing
* Hardware design
* Python, MATLAB, or C++
