Department Overview

The Residual Risk and Market Support department is responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the company's sales incentives, lease residuals and remarketing performance.

Job Overview

Under the direction of Mercedes-Benz USA's Residual Risk & Market Support team, the Data Analyst STAR Intern will work with the Sales Incentive & remarketing team to perform monthly financial reporting tasks, performance analysis, and enhance the data landscape and reporting capabilities related to the risk minimization of leased assets and the maximization of New/Pre-Owned vehicle sales.

Responsibilities:
* Automating the development/delivery of core reports and KPIs

* Assist with the enhancement of current reporting landscape by establishing an AWS based reporting environment

* Develop regression-based prediction models of new vehicle sales and transaction prices by analyzing macroeconomic trends, market and
competitive trends, new/used car supply, incentive spend, etc.

* Assist team members with creation and enhancement of process descriptions and work instructions.

* Assist with automating audit and compliance tasks

* Other responsibilities as required by business unit

Qualifikationen

Qualifications / Education:

To qualify for this internship opportunity, you must be a rising junior or rising senior enrolled in a Bachelor's program.

Preferred concentration of study:
* Finance
* Computer Science
* Data Science
* Engineering
* Closely related field preferred

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Organized, self-starter with strong problem solving skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Background working with Python, R, SQL, and AWS

* Experience using Business Intelligence/Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI

Additional Information

During this 8.5-week summer internship, you will be required to work onsite 4 days a week at our Sandy Springs, GA headquarters.
