Front Office Trainee

The Front Office Trainee supports daily front desk operations while learning to deliver excellent guest service. This role assists in welcoming guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and promoting hotel services under the guidance of senior front office staff.
* Greet and welcome arriving guests in a warm and professional manner.
* Assist with check-in and check-out procedures following hotel standards.
* Support the preparation and organization of the front desk area and required materials.
* Help manage reservations received through online platforms and telephone inquiries.
* Record and update guest information accurately during registration.
* Provide guests with basic information about payment methods and assist in processing payments under supervision.
* Respond to guest inquiries before, during, and after their stay, referring complex matters to senior staff.
* Inform guests about hotel services, room categories, pricing, and amenities.
* Support upselling opportunities across hotel services when appropriate.
* Offer general recommendations for local attractions, transportation, and dining options.
* Assist with safe storage and handling of guest luggage.
* Support cash handling procedures in line with hotel policies.
* Help coordinate transportation arrangements and basic guest requests.
* Assist in confirming group bookings and preparing personalized services.
* Work closely with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean, ready, and meet quality standards.
* Learn and demonstrate basic proficiency in the hotel property management system (PMS).
* Follow hotel grooming standards, policies, and safety procedures at all times.
* Participate in and support sustainable workplace practices and environmental initiatives.
* Contribute positively to team efforts that promote sustainability and responsible operations
