JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a motivated Process Engineer Intern to join our Burn-in Process Engineering team at STMicroelectronics Malta for a 12-month internship, with the possibility of extension.
This internship offers hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing, specifically focusing on the burn-in process used to ensure product reliability and quality.
The successful candidate will assist the engineering team in the process development, material characterization, new program qualification, data gathering and analysis to enable the seamless transition of new semiconductor products from development to high-volume manufacturing.

Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assist in the setup, monitoring, and execution of burn-in tests for semiconductor devices.
* Collect and analyse burn-in test data to identify trends, failures, and areas for process improvement.
* Support the development and optimization of burn-in process parameters to enhance product reliability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product engineering.
* Document process flows, test results, and technical reports clearly and accurately.
* Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for burn-in related issues.
* Follow safety and quality standards in all process activities.

Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall:
* Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical / Electronic / Industrial Engineering or a related field.
* Have and Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate (B1-B2) English proficiency level.
* Be computer literate.
* Have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Be programming oriented.
* Be familiar with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, MS Power BI or similar)
* Have good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Have a good understanding of Safe Working and 5S practices.
