Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Financial Analyst Intern to join our team. In this role, you will support financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes, partnering with business units and geographies to provide accurate forecasts, budgets, and performance insights. You will analyze financial statements, evaluate business trends, and prepare reports and recommendations to support decision-making.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Analyze IBM's forecasts, budgets, actuals, and key business metrics.

* Develop and deliver variance analyses (forecast vs. actual, budget vs. actual).
* Prepare financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand financial performance and trends.
* Support the preparation of presentations and reports for senior leadership.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in reporting.
* Proactivity, very good interpersonal relationship, good team player, sense of urgency.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities to meet deadlines.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and dynamic tables.

* Foundational knowledge of financial analysis concepts such as:
* Financial statement review
* Cost and expense reporting
* Forecasting and budgeting
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work with large datasets and summarize findings clearly.
