Job Description:

The (COMPANY NAME) Internship Program is the biggest step you can take to joining our Revolution of Payments Innovation. You will take on meaningful work, get executive exposure, engage in out-of-the-box problem solving, and participate in social and community service activities. From technology to business, we are looking for people who can innovate, collaborate and drive (COMPANY NAME) into the next era of an already rapidly-evolving digital market place.
We are looking for Business Analyst Interns in the (COMPANY NAME) Spend Clarity for Enterprise (VSCE) team, a cross-functional agile team responsible for building software products. You will be working alongside software developers, a test engineer, and a technical product manager, as well as other team members and consultants.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders and influencers within the VSCE Technology group, Product group, application & customer support group and at times VSCE's banking partners. You will get the chance to facilitate the delivery of products and solutions within their respective delivery stream/team in alignment with VSCE's strategic product roadmap. This is done by preparing requirements for development by understanding of the business drivers and value. Preparing requirements and being accountable for ensuring user stories are created that meet the definition of ready. This involves working within a collaborative cross discipline team contributing to enhancing and expanding the VSCE product platform.
We are growing the capabilities and services in the (COMPANY NAME) Spend Clarity to deliver scalable and robust solutions that will take (COMPANY NAME) Spend Clarity to more customers and users around the globe. With an engineering group of nearly 300 people, (COMPANY NAME) Spend Clarity is a key focus area with large growth ambitions driven by customer needs and a desire to innovate using modern cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
* Understands customer needs through collaboration with Technical Product Managers.
* Discover, gather, investigate, and elicit requirements from key internal and external stakeholders where appropriate.
* Accountable for user stories and requirements meeting the definition of ready.
* Review and reprioritize the team backlog with the Technical Product Managers as part of the preparatory work for iteration planning.
* Work with the Technical Product Managers in building, refining, and maintaining a releasable backlog as required.
* Assist with user acceptance test scripts for partners and customers. Review working software against business requirements and processes to ensure original drivers of new functionality are satisfied.
* Communicate clear information and offer guidance to team members and cross functional teams to acquire skills, knowledge, make decisions, and complete sprint/release tasks.
* In conjunction with delivery teams, prepare and present sprint reviews to Business Stakeholders as required.
* Facilitate scrum events when required.
* Learn (COMPANY NAME) Spend Clarity domain concepts.

Qualifications:

* Available to work full-time between mid-November 2024 and February 2025
* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree
* Have an understanding and empathy of internal and external customer needs and commercial drivers
* Technical competence to be able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
* Working in Agile environments
* Understanding of common corporate finance processes, especially expense management, invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
