We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Engineer Intern to join our dynamic Front Office team in the financial services sector.

About the Role

We are looking for an Engineer Intern to assist in the development, maintenance, and optimization of software applications used by our trading and market data teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in operating systems, databases, and cloud technologies, as well as excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

* Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications used by the trading and market data teams.
* Collaborate with traders, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and implement their technical requirements.
* Contribute to ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of trading systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
* Document and communicate technical solutions and processes clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.

Qualifications

* Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Language: has good communication skills in both French and English

Required Skills

* Basic knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
* Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
* Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Relevant coursework or project experience in software development.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* At least 50% of the team members have a software development or engineering background.

Preferred Skills

* Experience or interest in the financial services industry, particularly in trading or market data systems.
* Knowledge of financial protocols and standards.
* Experience with high-frequency trading systems or algorithmic trading.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
