Position number: F001
As an intern at our Mercedes-Benz Finance Japan office in Makuhari, Chiba prefecture (we are scheduled to move our office to Chiba from Shinagawa) you will have the opportunity to experience an intercultural working environment. You will have a wide range of invaluable opportunities in automobile financing company and improve your communication skills by working together with our team as well as other departments.
As a part of our team your tasks will be:
1) Research in Japanese local law and global regulations
* Research Japanese law and regulations, check Mercedes-Benz global compliance regulations
* Respond to departments inquiries of any legal topic (inquiries will be sent to you via email from different departments)
2) Support to review contracts
3) Draft response to police, court, or Japanese government regarding any inquiries
4) Support to organize Board of Directors meeting and shareholders meeting
* Meetings will be prepared in bilingual (ENG and JPN) and held in English
5) Support in organizing and designing the integrity dialogue program
* Support in organizing the integrity dialogue program with the department managers (create programs, act as a facilitator, and reserve the event halls etc.)
6) Support in creating the Compliance survey
7) Other administrative work

Starting date: Earliest April 2024
*The internship is set for a period of 6 months
Depending on the circumstances, remote work is possible for up to 3 times a week

Living support: Mercedes-Benz Japan provides its Trainees with a monthly living support of 150,000 Yen. This will have to cover all living expenses.

Qualifikationen

Required/Preferred language abilities
* Fluent Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher: very high level of spoken Japanese and high reading (Kanji) fluency)
* Fluent English (B2/C1)
Required specialized knowledge
* Study of economics, language or business administration is preferred
* Study of law is a plus
Preferred skills
* High communication skills
* Project and process management experience
* Microsoft office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
* Analytical skill is a plus
