Description du poste:
LIFT is your first step towards a fully funded degree apprenticeship - a real alternative to university that lets you earn, learn and grow from day one.
At HSBC, we believe finance and banking is for everyone, no matter your background. We support millions of customers every day - and now we're looking for the next generation of girls to help shape what comes next.
No finance knowledge? No problem. We'll teach you everything you need to know. If you've never seen yourself in banking before, LIFT is designed to change that.
What matters to us is you - your curiosity, your willingness to learn, and the potential you may not even see in yourself yet.
Who you are
LIFT is open to students in Year 12 based in Birmingham, from all backgrounds. You might be right for LIFT if you are:
* Curious and eager to learn
* Open to trying new things
* Enjoy working with others
* Comfortable speaking to different people
* Interested in exploring a career without going to university
What you'll do
The programme runs Monday to Friday, with a mix of in-office and virtual working.
From day one, you'll take part in real work-style activities, including:
Everyday banking
Workshops and simulations across Retail Banking and Wealth, covering:
* Current accounts
* Debit and credit cards
* Mortgages
* Supporting customers with everyday financial needs
Business problem-solving
Interactive challenges in Commercial Banking, focused on:
* Helping small businesses access finance
* Understanding how businesses grow and operate
* Solving real-world financial problems
Practical activities
You'll also take part in:
* Assessments
* Hands-on tasks
* Presentations
* Live demonstrations
* Customer and business scenarios
These activities help you understand how you work best, where your strengths lie, and what a future career could look like - while helping us get to know you too.
What you'll learn
You'll learn a lot about HSBC - but more importantly, you'll learn about yourself.
By the end of the week, you'll:
* Understand whether a career in finance is right for you
* Gain confidence in your abilities
* Learn how you behave under pressure
If you perform well and show strong potential, you could be considered for our fully funded degree apprenticeship starting in 2027.
That means:
* Earning a salary while you study
* Gaining real experience from day one
* Graduating debt-free with a recognised degree
* Starting your career with a global organisation
