As part of our multi-national project teams you will be providing crucial support to the operational teams at EUMETSAT in the validation, maintenance and operations of operations preparation systems in support to the preparation and routine operations of different spacecraft missions.

On the projects you will collaborate closely with the Mission Operations Teams and, in coordination with the client technical manager, you will be in charge of supporting Ground Segment engineering activities such as
* Prototype and develop web applications (backend and frontend) to interface with operations preparation tools (e.g. DABYS, APEX, Protos) including coordinating and executing these activities with the client's technical manager and operational teams
* Maintain and evolve the application lifecycle and management of these and related operations preparations tools and their associated infrastructure
* Provide engineering and user support expertise to end-users related to the usage of the developed applications and operations preparation tools

Your new Job

We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer with proven experience in developing modern web applications across both backend and frontend layers. In this role, you will design and build scalable solutions, collaborate closely with stakeholders, and translate user needs into functional prototypes and production-ready systems. You are comfortable working with diverse existing software systems and technologies, and you are open to exploring and adopting new tools and frameworks as project requirements evolve.

What You Will Focus on

* Prototyping and developing web-based applications across backend and frontend
* Designing and implementing REST APIs to integrate software systems (e.g. using frameworks like FastAPI)
* Contributing to DevOps activities, including automation, application setup, infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
* Participation in verification readiness reviews and verification testing campaigns at client site
* Engaging with internal end-users to understand needs, translate them into practical solutions and support adoption
* Collaborating closely with the technical manager to refine requirements and assess technical feasibility

What You Bring
* Hands-on experience in fullstack web development (backend and frontend)
* Good knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, Bash
* Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Angular
* Experience with building and integrating RESTful APIs
* Knowledge of DevOps practices, including automation, containerization and CI/CD
* Solid understanding of testing methodologies and a structured approach to verification and validation of software systems
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* A proactive, curious mindset with openness to exploring new tools and approaches
* Prior knowledge of operations preparation systems is a plus
