Job Role Description

IT Network Engineer - Advanced works independently within well-defined operational frameworks to deliver agile, reliable, and secure network services across both business and industrial environments. This role involves coding, automating, and testing network and system processes, while actively contributing to workflow design, capacity management, and service quality improvements

What you will do

- Design, build, deploy, and securely operate network infrastructure with a DevNetOps mindset
- Perform advanced automation and coding to enhance network reliability
- Contribute to network provisioning and monitoring design and implementation activities
- Ensure agility, security, velocity, and efficiency in network operations
- Monitor service level indicators to proactively address network anomalies and problems
- Develop a detailed understanding of engineering instrumentation and controls, infrastructure connectivity, and enterprise security
- Influence the design and operation of business and industrial networks
- Collaborate with internal teams to align network operations with business goals

About You

- Bachelor's degree or close to graduating in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computing Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
- Advanced English skills, verbal and written communication
- 2+ years' experience in an Infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering role, applying DevOps principles
- Experience managing Windows environments on physical and virtual infrastructure
- Proficiency in code versioning tools (e.g. Git), experience with build management and CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Repos & Actions)
- Solid scripting and coding skills oriented to automation and orchestration (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
- Proficiency in debugging and problem solving
- Working experience in an Agile organization
- Hands-on experience with programming languages
- Prior experience working with Linux (e.g. installation, configuration and administration)
- Demonstrable technical skills on backend services including setup, administration, scaling and monitoring
- Understanding of network core concepts (e.g. proxy, VLANS, Firewall, IP addressing, ExpressRoute)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM/CloudFormation templates or similar technologies
- General knowledge about REST API's best practices
