Solution Architect

SPATIAL has an opening in Santiago for a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong Computer Science background. Appropriate applicants should have experience working on very technical software development teams and the ability to solve tough problems that require innovative solutions.
The role consists of developing and enhancing Spatial's products. You will work with team members, customers, QA, and sales engineers to refine requirements and deliver expected functionality. You will analyze performance bottlenecks and provide both algorithmic and functional improvements to performance. You will communicate with local and remoteteam members to arrive at creative solutions. You will ensure all project goals are met, including development, testing, and documentation.
We would prefer a degree in Computer Science, though similar education can meet the requirements of the role. A Master's Degree or similar work experience is required. Experience in Mechanical Engineering is a bonus as the applications we develop do provide software for mechanical engineers
The following are the core skills required for this position:
* Strong Object Oriented Software development techniques
* Experience with algorithmic complexity and familiarity with data structures
* Strong Experience in C++
* Familiar with Agile software development practices
* Experience with Shell, Perl, or C#
* Ability to work across functional team boundaries in order to arrive at the correct solution
* Experience developing professional grade applications
