Role Overview

The Sport Results Manager is the end-to-end product and operations owner for a portfolio of Olympic and Paralympic sports within the Results Technology domain.

This role bridges sport, technology, and Games-time operations - translating complex competition requirements into high-quality, real-time results services delivered to the world.

You will collaborate closely with:

* International Olympic Committee (IOC)

* International Paralympic Committee (IPC)

* International Sport Federations

* Omega (Official Timekeeper)

* Organizing Committees for specific Games editions

You will act as the single accountable owner for sport results quality, from requirements definition through testing, homologation, and Games-time operations.

What You Will Own

Product & Requirements Leadership

* Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned sports

* Analyze, document, and validate sport competition requirements (rules, formats, edge cases, data flows)

* Translate sport regulations into structured product artifacts (user stories, acceptance criteria, data models)

* Manage requirements and defects using Jira

* Ensure alignment across Results applications, timing systems, and downstream data consumers

Agile Delivery & Test Strategy

* Define and own test coverage, scope, and timelines

* Design functional and end-to-end test cases (including automation inputs)

* Ensure vendors and application providers meet agreed milestones

* Execute testing in line with the Applications Test Strategy

* Lead readiness reviews prior to operational milestones

You will play a key role in:

* User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

* Homologation

* PRIS Validation

* Integration testing across the Olympic Results ecosystem (ORIS, ODF, Common Codes, Sports Timelines)

Venue Results Operations (Games-Time Leadership)

During operational milestones and the Games period, you transition into an on-venue leadership role.

You will:

* Lead Results Operations at your assigned venue

* Report to Cluster Sport Managers and the Technology Operations Center

* Review venue layouts and validate technology requirements

* Create and own the Games-time Results Runbook (timeline of outputs and data distribution)

* Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all distributed results

You are accountable for:

* Incident reporting and resolution leadership

* Real-time stakeholder communication

* Compliance with Technology Policies & Procedures

* Coordination with Competition Management, Sport Entries, Sport Presentation, Broadcast, Media Operations, and Ceremonies

You will serve as:

* Single Point of Contact for Venue Results

* Primary interface between venue stakeholders and the Technology Operations Center

What Makes You Successful

Experience & Background

* 5+ years participating in agile delivery of software applications

* Strong background in one or more of:

* Business Analysis

* Program / Delivery Management

* Quality Engineering

* Proven experience in requirements gathering and structured validation

* Experience using Jira to manage use cases, defects, and workflows

* Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Highly Valued

* Experience within the Olympic Results ecosystem (ORIS, ODF, Common Codes, Sports Timelines)

* Experience building or technically understanding results or data-driven applications

* Previous participation in multi-sport events or Olympic/Paralympic Games

* Experience as Sport Results Manager at venue level

Languages

* Fluent English (required)

* Basic Spanish (nice to have)

Travel & Availability

* Up to 10% travel during testing and delivery phase

* Up to 3 months on-site in the Host City during Games operations
