Position Summary
At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of Barcelona's newest luxury landmarks, we are looking for a dynamic, people-focused, and highly organized Assistant Front Office Manager to join our Rooms Division leadership team.
This role is responsible for supporting the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office department, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and leading a high-performing team. Working closely with Housekeeping, Guest Services, Reservations, Revenue, and other hotel departments, you will help deliver seamless service and uphold Hyatt's luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the Front Office department and ensuring exceptional guest service.
* Lead, motivate, coach, and develop Front Office colleagues to maintain high levels of engagement and performance.
* Oversee guest arrivals, departures, VIP stays, and special requests, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
* Act as a key contact for guest relations, handling concerns and service recovery situations professionally and efficiently.
* Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management processes.
* Monitor operational standards, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the achievement of departmental goals.
* Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
* Support revenue optimization, room inventory management, billing accuracy, and financial control processes.
* Lead shift briefings and maintain effective communication across departments.
* Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management
Profil requis du candidat:
Skills & Qualifications
* 2-3 years of experience in a similar Front Office supervisory or management role within a hotel environment, preferably in luxury hospitality.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
* Excellent guest service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong knowledge of reservation systems and Property Management Systems (PMS), particularly Opera Cloud.
* Good understanding of Front Office operations, guest relations, room inventory management, and hotel service standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Fluent Spanish and a high level of English are required; additional languages are an asset.
* Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to operational needs.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
