Job Description:
Responsibilities:
● Assist band leader with all tasks.
● Serve as primary liaison between staff and band leader.
● Assist band during remote shoots and road shows.
● Distribute setlist for each show on a daily basis.
● Disseminate important information to the band, such as schedule changes and taping dates.
● Work with NBC music licensing for all music clearance needs.
● Coordinate with audio engineer regarding lyric needs or other tasks.
● Assist band in various tasks and oversee interns on runs.
● Submit daily music cues to music department and help oversee interns with music cue sheets.
● Monitor the show for music cue changes by checking in with writers and segment producers.
● Handle Roots paperwork.
● Delegate casting paperwork.
● Submit band attendance weekly.
● Submit expenses on behalf of The Roots for transportation.
● Coordinate with stage managers to wrangle band members.
● Coordinate travel on remote shoots and road shows.
● Book transportation for band members
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree required
* Minimum 1 year experience supporting high level Executive in Television Entertainment or equivalent production experience
* Must be proficient on Mac
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desired Characteristics:
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment, be able to maintain composure and be agreeable to changes
* Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Flexible, personable, self-starter, with attention to detail and the ability to interface with all levels of NBCU staff and show crew.
* Production experience a plus
* Ability to handle multiple projects at once and multi-task efficiently and precisely

* Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

* Hourly salary range: $17.50 - $20.00
* This position is paid a weekly rate based on a typical work schedule of 60 hrs/wk. Hours over 40hrs/wk will be paid at an overtime rate. In the event that you work more than the anticipated 60 hrs/wk, you will be paid additional overtime compensation as required by law.
