We are seeking an AI Application Development Engineer to join our U.S.-based AI Application Solutions team. You will design and develop AI-powered business applications, intelligent agents, and automation solutions using Microsoft AI technologies including Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365.
This role focuses on delivering enterprise AI solutions that improve productivity, automate business processes, and enhance customer and employee experiences. We value engineers who demonstrate strong technical curiosity, ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into practical AI-enabled solutions.
This position will follow a hybrid work model in our Morrisville, NC office.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered business applications and intelligent agents using Microsoft AI technologies.
* Build conversational agents, workflow automation agents, and Copilot-based solutions.
* Integrate AI applications with Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service) and enterprise systems through APIs and connectors.
* Develop prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and knowledge-based AI solutions.
* Support multi-channel experiences across Microsoft Teams, web applications, and Omnichannel platforms.
* Collaborate with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
* Participate in testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
* Contribute to reusable AI components, solution patterns, and development best practices.
* Demonstrate ownership by driving tasks from concept through implementation with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
* 1+ year of experience developing software applications using C#, JavaScript, Python, or similar technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
* Understanding of software development fundamentals, APIs, cloud technologies, and application integration.
* Basic knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or AI agent technologies.
* Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Passion for AI, automation, and enterprise technology.
* Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Dynamics 365, or Microsoft 365.
* Understanding of AI agent development, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts.
* Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Dataverse, Power Apps, or Power Automate.
* Experience building chatbot, AI assistant, automation, or business application projects through academic, internship, or industry experience.
* Knowledge of cloud platforms, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
* Experience working in Agile development environments.
* Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus.
