Job Shift: Rotate
Job Type: Per Diem
The Phlebotomist performs all duties of a Phlebotomist. In addition, procures an above average number of patient specimens, instructs phlebotomy/office trainees, inventories and maintains, phlebotomy and office supplies, and exhibits above average initiative and cooperation. Efficiently performs computer functions assigned to a Phlebotomist security level; competently performs downtime procedures. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

* Specimens are collected using the proper technique and following all specimen handling guidelines, assuring specimen integrity.
* Assists and performs front office duties as assigned.
* Complies with department standards, CQI monitors and Medicare regulations.
* Displays the ability to communicate to other team members any necessary information concerning patient or lab related issues.
* Trains new Phlebotomists/students per direction of the Non-technical Supervisor or designee
