An opportunity has arisen for a VAT Executive to join our team which specialize in the local and international VAT affairs for a varied portfolio of clients.

Your mission
As a VAT Executive, you would be part of the VAT leadership team and will be working within a team to :
* Assist with the review of compliance and advisory work carried out by junior members of the team
* Highlight VAT compliance gaps and suggest any necessary tailored recommendations to key areas of focus for the client's business
* Liaise with local tax authorities and engage in audit procedures
* Provide the necessary guidance and training to the team to ensure that the required VAT treatment is applied as necessary
* Deliver or assist in delivering various internal and external training sessions
* Take an active role in various team initiatives in order to build a collaborative team dynamic at all levels

About You
The successful candidate would:
* hold a Masters degree in Accountancy or have successfully completed the ACCA qualification
* have 3+ prior years experience of working in VAT
* be fluent in English and Maltese and hold strong interpersonal skills
* have experience coaching and guiding team members
* have an interest in acquiring exposure to various disciplines and industries
* be able to prioritize work and manage competing priorities
* have good analytical skills and a "can do" attitude
* show initiative to propose, plan and implement new projects and be able to market our existing and new service offerings
