Responsibilities

The Opportunity 

The Compliance Analyst is a subject matter expert in trade and compliance topics in the Latam (PMF, Andean, Caricam, Soco and Brazil). The role will support the global trade and compliance group with periodic checks of the region, assuring the correct operation of all import/export moves across the region avoiding government fines and impacts to the business and goods being moved across markets.
They will assure business continuity for new and contingency based commercialization projects considering all compliance related risks and requirements needed to get the initiative up and running. They will help manage special programs in the region such as Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), IMMEX, free trade zones and make sure that the program keeps their validities year after year.
The role will support the agenda on classification of goods, confirming the correct HS Tariff Codes are being used, as well as confirming if there are any Free Trade Zone benefits for those specific products and origins resulting in cost avoidande from import duties.
The role will support scheduled audits of the sector highlighting possible opportunities in the operations and avoiding possible government fines and/or service disruptions.

Your Impact  

As Compliance Analyst Latam your functions would consist of

* Data Analysis: Analyze trade data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement across Latam, providing insights to the global team.
* Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring that compliance documentation is accurate and complete.
* Customs & Trade Consulting: Provide support on compliance-related inquiries from Latam regional teams, customs brokers, and external government officials.
* Analyze new duty optimization opportunities that leverage the team's productivity targets such as free trade agreements or special import/export programs
* Standardization Initiatives: Collaborate with the Global Excellence team to standardize processes and ensure compliance across Latam import/export operations.

Qualifications

¿Who Are We Looking For?  

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in International Trade, Customs
* 1 years in related to customs & trade and/or compliance
* Ability to positively influence teams outside of direct responsibility and across multiple business units
* Utilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problems
* Self-starter with attention to detail
* Ability to work collaboratively and proactively across multi-functional, sector, and business teams
English Fluency both written and verbal
* Advanced excel and other Microsoft tools (Powerapps, PowerBI)
