About our team:
The Marketing Insights & Research Team partners with marketing teams (and beyond) to influence customer centric business decisions through tailored research, insights & recommendations. We are responsible for supporting our stakeholders in many projects bringing the consumer voice to the decisions as well conducting various types of research to address business needs.
Role Overview:
The Researcher II will lead and support the Insights & Research Team on diverse research initiatives across the Marketing Organization. As a Researcher II, you will be responsible for end-to-end project leadership-translating complex business questions into clear research objectives, managing operations, and executing data collection, processing, and reporting, analysis and communication. Your remit includes hands-on execution and agency management across Qualitative, Quantitative, and User Experience projects, alongside proactive stakeholder management.
Key Projects include (but are not limited to):
* Marketing Communication Research: Spanning various touchpoints (e.g., Messaging & Rewards, Growth Marketing Paid Social);
* Ad-hoc Insights: Strategic projects across the Marketing Organization driven by evolving business priorities.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
* End-to-End project management: lead all project phases, including stakeholder alignment, methodology selection, questionnaire design, scripting, fieldwork monitoring, data cleaning, statistical analysis, and reporting.
* Data Synthesis: Connect disparate data points across consumer insights and business metrics-integrating internal and external secondary research-to illustrate the "big picture."
* Strategic Collaboration: Partner with research agencies and the broader research community to ensure methodological excellence and high-quality outcomes.
* Stakeholder Management: Align research efforts with business needs to ensure high-quality, actionable, and on-time deliverables.
* Insight Socialization: Present and "translate" findings for diverse audiences across all organizational levels, ensuring clarity for non-researchers.
Role Qualifications and Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced Market Researcher with a proven track record at working in research agencies or within the E-commerce, Tech sectors within the Marketing Research area. You should possess well-rounded expertise, a passion for consumer behavior, and an inspirational approach to insights.
* Experience: 3-5 years in market research, with a focus on Consumer Insights and Communication Research within a Marketing context.
* Methodological scope: Ability to design cross-method plans (Qual, Quant) and utilize secondary research to answer business questions with both rigor and efficiency. Experience with UX research is a plus;
* AI Integration: Ability to use AI responsibly to scale research (desk research, tagging, synthesis, and workflow automation) while maintaining human oversight on design and interpretation.
* Data driven skills and mindset: combines a curious, evidence-first mindset with the technical agility to utilize modern tools for data synthesis (including data automation) storytelling
* Technical Proficiency:
* Quantitative: Expert in survey design, sampling and fieldwork monitoring, data processing, statistical analysis, data quality, reporting and presentation;
* Tools: Proficiency in commercial software (JMP, SPSS, Pollfish, Qualtrics); experience with Python and SQL is a significant plus.
* Qualitative: Skilled in moderating interviews/focus groups, guide writing, and in depth analysis & reporting;
* UX: Experience in the full UX lifecycle, from journey mapping to usability studies will be considered a plus;
Soft Skills & Logistics:
* Exceptional organizational skills with a drive to deliver results under tight deadlines.
* Fluent in English with the ability to manage ambiguous briefings, set realistic expectations, and navigate challenging stakeholder discussions.
* A team player mindset with an entrepreneurial, solution-focused spirit.
* Education: Degree (BSc/MSc or higher) in Marketing, Consumer Psychology, Communications, Data Science, or a related field.
* Location: Based in the Netherlands with the ability to work from the office 2-3 times per week (minimum).
