Role Overview
This role is critical to protecting Haleon's corporate assets and managing its day-to-day operational cyber security defenses. It involves detailed analysis to identify threats, quantify vulnerabilities, and reduce risk to the organization. You will be responsible for the timely review of cyber security alerts generated by security tools, assessing situations, and managing incidents through to successful resolution.
Working as part of a 24/7 Security Operations (SecOps) environment, you will respond to security events using appropriate tools and procedures, support investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement of security operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop hands-on experience in cyber defense, incident response, and security monitoring in a dynamic enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate as part of a 24/7 Cyber Security Operations (SecOps) team that continuously monitors the security of the company
* Undertake the timely triage of security alerts to allow for rapid incident detection and response
* Perform analysis of security events, logs, network traffic and forensic data to determine root cause, identifying suspicious and / or anomalous activities, and take appropriate action based on documented processes and procedures
* Recommended modifications to internal defenses and processes for more effective and efficient security operations
* Manage security incidents through all phases of the incident response lifecycle from identification through to closure
* Ensures that delegated response and remediation actions are completed in line with SLAs
* Supports the tuning of all security tooling and the development of bespoke correlation rules / use cases aligned to business operations, internal risk profiles and current threat intelligence
* Ensure that the automation and orchestration of day-to-day operations is maximized, and that analysis / response activities are performed as efficiently as possible
* Execute L1/L2 event or incident response and investigation into suspicious activity
* Collaborate with Threat Intelligence to groom threat feeds and help translate findings
* Help prioritize content, develop, and implement playbooks and runbooks
Your Profile
Required:
* Ability to analyse security alerts, logs, and network activity to identify threats and suspicious behaviour
* Understanding of security operations processes, including incident response and monitoring
* Basic knowledge of security controls and how they are used to detect and respond to threats
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
* Ability to communicate complex problems in a clear and concise manner
* Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Attention to detail and commitment to following processes and procedures
* Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment
Preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Knowledge of common network protocols, edge routing technologies, firewall/IDS/IPS
* Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms
* Experience or interest in security monitoring, incident response, or threat analysis

* Remuneration: 13 220 to 18 180 PLN gross/month, depending on the level of experience and competence
