We're on a mission to become the most sought-after cloud technology company globally. We think big, innovate relentlessly, and challenge the status quo every day. If you are a problem-solver who's ready to push boundaries and achieve more than you thought possible-you'll find an exceptional career within an extraordinary business.
Location: Warsaw - Hybrid 2 days per week
Type of contract: UoP
As the global leader in treasury and finance solutions, we're transforming our engineering organisation to drive the next phase of growth. As the CoS to the CTO you'll be a strategic thought partner, a change agent, and an execution leader who shapes how Kyriba builds products, serves customers, and competes in the market. You'll have the CTO's proxy authority to drive decisions, lead cross-organisational initiatives, and influence the trajectory of an engineering organisation that's building the future of treasury and finance technology.
This role is for someone who wants to:
* Shape the strategy and operations of an engineering organisation at a critical growth inflection point
* Work directly with executive leadership on the most important, complex challenges facing the company
* Build and scale organisational capabilities that become competitive advantages
* Transition from execution to strategy to broader organisational impact
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Thought Partnership, Planning & Execution:
* Serve as daily thought partner on the most important, complex strategic decisions, challenging assumptions, pressure test strategies, and provide objective perspective
* Synthesize complex information from across the organization into clear, actionable insights
* Help the CTO think through options, trade-offs, and implications before major decisions
* Facilitate quarterly OKR planning and reviews across the engineering organisation
* Connect dots across the organisation to identify gaps, synergies, and strategic opportunities
Executive Communication:
* Prepare Board of Directors presentations on engineering strategy, portfolio performance, and organisational health
* Draft strategic memos, executive summaries, and decision documents for CEO and the executive team
CTO Effectiveness & Leverage:
* Optimize CTO's time allocation toward highest-value activities: strategy, vision, customers, external relationships
* Shield the CTO from operational noise by resolving issues proactively before they escalate
* Ensure the CTO is prepared and effective in every critical meeting and engagement
Organisational Problem-Solving & Firefighting:
When critical issues arise, you dive deep and drive resolution:
* Coordinate response to major customer escalations requiring engineering intervention
* Act as "chief problem solver" for high-priority, high-complexity issues that don't fit neatly into anyone's role
* Build organisational muscle memory by documenting learnings and building playbooks
Engineering Leadership Team Management:
The Engineering Leadership Team (CTO + direct reports) is the engine of engineering strategy and execution. You make it effective:
* Plan and facilitate SLT meetings - Set agendas aligned to strategic priorities, prepare pre-reads, ensure meetings have clear outcomes. Build SLT effectiveness - Continuously improve how leadership team operates (decision-making, communication, conflict resolution)
* Drive meeting effectiveness - Ensure decisions get made, actions are tracked, commitments are honored
* Manage SLT off-sites - Design and facilitate quarterly strategic off-sites that drive alignment and breakthrough thinking
Support CTO in strategic resource allocation:
* Lead annual engineering budget planning - build bottoms-up budget, justify investments, align with Finance
* Identify opportunities to optimise cost structure while maintaining or improving effectiveness
