Overview Tremend is looking for a hands-on Senior Architect to design and deliver end-to-end, API-driven solutions on Google Cloud. The role combines strong architectural ownership with hands-on development and active stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Design end-to-end system architectures using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and API-first principles Define and govern integration architectures, including layered workflows, authentication, and authorization Lead architecture reviews and present designs to technical design authorities, ensuring sign-off through clear, high-quality documentation Own and address non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, resilience, and operational readiness Actively contribute to implementation, with ~40% hands-on coding in Java Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across multiple forums to drive alignment and buy-in Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in Java and API-based system design Proven expertise in integration design patterns and distributed systems Experience designing for cloud-native environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Deep understanding of security, scalability, and operationalisation concerns Excellent communication and documentation skills Nice to Have Insurance domain knowledge is highly appreciated Proven usage of AI Agents and tools (like Slingshot or alternatives) Additional information Besides an exciting job in a tremendous team, here's what you can expect: A fast-paced tech environment Continuous growth & learning Open feedback culture Room for own initiative & ideas Transparency about results & strategy Recognition & reward for hard work Working with a flexible schedule Medical subscription Meal tickets Extra vacation days - starting with 25 vacation days Many other perks
