Position Overview
One of our software development teams for aerostructures simulation at Simcenter 3D is looking for a SW QA Engineer Associate to support them in quality assurance.
Simcenter 3D is a comprehensive, fully integrated CAE solution for complex, multidisciplinary product performance engineering. The software delivers revolutionary improvements in simulation efficiency. With sophisticated 3D modeling capabilities and simulation solvers that cover a comprehensive range of physics, Simcenter 3D helps our customers to gain better insight into their product's overall performance.

Key Responsibilities
* Participate in all team meetings and effectively engage in the planning process to contribute to your scrum team's sprint goals
* Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for both automation and manual testing
* Perform manual testing of new functionality and collect information from developers and product owners to understand use cases
* Plan testing efforts, document coverage, and develop test procedures to verify that software products and releases meet established functionality and performance goals
* Isolate problems, document results, and build clear bug reports with detailed instructions and input data for developers to investigate issues
* Conduct manual regression testing (both scripted and unscripted), installation testing on Windows and Linux, and complete user workflow tests
* Create and maintain automated regression tests using Python scripting language; review results from nightly runs and extend automation coverage
* Present new functionality in customer review meetings and sign off on quality for features assigned to your scrum team
* Perform license testing and report bugs and usability concerns
* Follow up on resolved bugs to ensure fixes are implemented accurately
* Effectively work with a globally dispersed team and participate in cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications
* Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Science) or equivalent professional experience
* User knowledge in CAE software tools (Solid Edge, Solidworks, Inventor, ProEngineer, Star-CCM, or similar)
* Hands-on experience in automation or manual testing on enterprise applications
* Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Windows; willingness to learn Linux
* Knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (Python experience is beneficial)
* Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret product features from a user perspective

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Simcenter 3D, Nastran, Abaqus, or other CAE tools
* Quality assurance and/or testing experience in numerical simulation software
* Experience working in Agile SDLC environments
* Experience managing multi-platform (Windows/Linux) test environments
* Knowledge of Multi-Body Dynamics or solver testing
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in international virtual teams

Compensation & Benefits
The primary locations for this opportunity are India and Romania. The applicable salary range is as follows.
RON 122,800 - RON 208,900 (Romania)
This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
