Group Architecture (GA) is part of the Technology, Data & Innovation (TDI) division. GA plays a pivotal role in accelerating the delivery of a bank-wide simplified target architecture that enhances agility, increases technology speed-to-market, and reduces costs. GA's activities include coordinating the development of target architectures and roadmaps, implementing governance frameworks, deploying strategic tools, ensuring design discipline, and establishing policies and standards.
You will be at the forefront of driving transformative change. This pivotal role involves providing visionary leadership across a dynamic portfolio of projects, encompassing critical initiatives such as intricate data migrations, strategic architecture optimisations, and the meticulous execution of our target state vision.
You will empower our teams, champion innovation, and shape the future of our architectural landscape, ensuring every endeavour aligns with our strategic imperatives and delivers success for the bank and its clients.

Your key responsibilities
* Leading the end-to-end delivery of a complex portfolio of strategic initiatives, including data migrations, architecture optimisations and target state execution, ensuring they deliver on time, and to agreed standards and scope
* Establishing robust programme governance, defining clear reporting structures, risk management frameworks, and quality assurance processes to ensure transparency and control
* Developing and delivering compelling, executive-level presentations using PowerPoint to communicate complex programme updates, articulate strategic value, and secure buy-in for key architectural decisions from senior stakeholders
* Acting as the primary liaison for senior stakeholders across multiple divisions, translating intricate technical concepts into clear, impactful narratives that drive alignment and manage expectations
* Championing the continuous improvement of our delivery methodologies, embedding best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Architecture Strategy team's change portfolio
Your skills and experience
* Demonstrable experience in programme management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex technology change portfolios within a global financial services environment
* Expert-level presentation and communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver highly polished, persuasive narratives for senior executive audiences using PowerPoint
* Leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among senior leaders, technical experts, and business partners
* A strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and technology transformation. We would be particularly interested in experience with data migration, cloud adoption, or application modernisation
* A strategic and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to translate high-level architectural strategy into a clear, actionable delivery roadmap that drives tangible business outcomes
