Your Impact:
Step into a role where your financial expertise truly shapes project success. We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Project Accountant to join our team at our Basildon site. You'll enjoy a balanced blend of home and on-site working, with at least two days each week spent collaborating onsite with colleagues and project teams.
You'll play a central role in supporting the Financial Controller, taking ownership of the financial and project reporting for a defined portfolio of projects. This includes delivering accurate, timely and meaningful management information, while also acting as a trusted advisor to project teams who rely on your insight to make confident decisions.
The role is part of a dynamic business sector that looks to deliver solutions to a truly global marketplace. Finance play a key role in the service offering and this is a chance to make a difference as well as satisfy the statutory requirements.

What You'll do as Project Accountant:
* Support the Financial Controller with preparation of sector monthly forecasts including assumptions, risks and opportunities and explanation of forecast movements.
* Perform analysis and prepare reports in accordance with the issued monthly timetable.
* Support the business in producing robust monthly Contract Status Reports (CSRs) and quarterly Sales and Margin Trading Plans.
* Posting journals to accurately reflect the project costs and trading position
* Work with the Project Team / budget holders to understand forecast, Business Plans and CSR movements.
* Support the financial input required as part of the bid process.
* Reconciling financial data and resolving problems/issues where appropriate to ensure integrity of information provided.

* Advanced Excel capability and solid proficiency across MS Office
* AAT qualification or progress toward CIMA/ACCA (highly desirable)
