Anti-Financial-Crime (AFC) Technology provides the tools required by the Anti-Financial-Crime (AFC) function. We are responsible for defining, maintaining, and enforcing an effective risk management framework to reduce the risk that Deutsche Bank may be used to facilitate financial crime. AFC Technology is a 1000-person organization responsible for a ~EUR90m annual change book of work, with major locations in London, Frankfurt, Pune, Bucharest, and New York.
You will join the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Technology organisation as a senior, hands-on Techno-Functional Analyst. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, payments and reference data, and product delivery, and is critical to shaping and evolving our workbench and detection capabilities.
Working within a multi-skilled Agile team, you will analyse large, complex datasets, develop deep domain understanding of TM data flows, and translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable, high-quality technology solutions. You will play a key role in driving continuous delivery, automation, and data-driven decision-making across the landscape.

Your key responsibilities
* Owning and driving techno-functional delivery within the Financial Crime domain including Transaction Monitoring, combining deep data analysis with strong product and regulatory understanding to shape capabilities and roadmap
* Leading hands-on data analysis across large, complex datasets to validate requirements, investigate issues, assess data quality, and generate actionable insights to support detection logic, reporting, and decision-making
* Actively leading Agile delivery as a senior, owning backlog refinement, defining clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritising work aligned to regulatory commitments and QBR objectives
* Defining and maintaining end-to-end data understanding, including source-to-target mappings, ETL flows, reference and payments data usage, and how data is consumed across TM applications and workflows
* Providing leadership and mentorship within the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high engineering and analysis standards across business and technology stakeholders
Your skills and experience
* Expert-level, hands-on experience with data analysis in a cloud environment, specifically using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and demonstrating proficiency in writing complex queries/code in BigQuery, advanced SQL, and Python
* A solid understanding of how core banking data entities are joined and utilized in AFC; specifically, the relationships between Party, Account, and Transaction datasets with deep domain knowledge of payments and reference data
* Practical experience applying AI or advanced automation techniques to solve real-world business problems, such as automating data quality checks, alert triage, or evidence gathering processes
* Excellent knowledge of modern technology concepts, including data flows, APIs, data models, and the software development lifecycle within a hybrid cloud and on-premises environment
* Working proficiency on tools like Jira and Confluence for backlog management, coupled with outstanding communication, documentation, and senior stakeholder management skills
* Demonstrated ability to drive work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment and provide technical leadership to junior members of the team plus and ability to articulate complex topics in both technical and non-technical language
