Trade Management Services Data Analyst - Assistant Vice President

Team/Role Overview
Join Citi's Global Business Expense Transparency organization as a Capital Markets Business/Data Analyst. You'll drive the development and enhancement of our Trade Cost Calculator and Analytics platform-a best-in-class system providing critical insights into trading costs and activities across global markets. This role demands a seasoned professional who can bridge business and technology, working directly with trading desks, business management, and senior stakeholders to deliver actionable analytics and drive platform evolution.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Development & Analytics
* Lead development initiatives for the VARCITI trade cost analytics platform
* Design and deliver robust trade and cost analytics, including volume profiling, product analysis, and expense trend identification
* Develop and refine reconciliation processes for trade expense analytics against third-party invoices

Stakeholder Collaboration
* Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology teams to understand dependencies and design effective metrics
* Engage trading desks and senior stakeholders to promote platform capabilities and gather enhancement requirements
* Own trading cost fee calculations and volume reconciliation processes across multiple products

Requirements & Delivery
* Collaborate with technology teams throughout the software development lifecycle to translate business requirements into timely feature releases
* Analyze enhancement opportunities to increase transparency and accuracy in cost reporting
* Gather and document requirements for new metrics, reporting enhancements, and onboarding requests

What we'll need from you
Experience & Knowledge
* Intermediate experience in commercial, fast-paced business environments with focus on technology or financial analysis
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
* Knowledge of trade flow processes and systems preferred
* Knowledge of products traded across Fixed Income, Commodities, and Equities preferred
* Proven track record identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements in data/analytical workflows

Technical Skills
* Advanced SQL proficiency (required)
* Expertise in data visualization tools (QlikView, Tableau, or similar)
* Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies
