About the Role
An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Production Shift Team Lead, within our Dundee manufacturing site. The Shift Team Lead will be responsible for leading and developing the shift operations team, to manage equipment, materials and processes, delivering production targets safely and in compliance with SOPs, GMP, Quality, and Health & Safety standards, ensuring team members are trained and competent. Contribute to site KPIs as part of the management team while driving continuous improvement and supporting business transformation objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
* Responsible for directing operator workload and activities for the Shift team covering dispensing, manufacturing, fill and label and pack operations, production admin, and continuous improvement process specialist.
* Effective Team leadership through active involvement in recruitment, training, coaching, development, and ongoing performance management.
* Ensure effective shift handover, including accurate and timely communication of production status, safety risks, quality issues, deviations, equipment status, staffing levels, and priorities to the oncoming shift to ensure continuity of operations and compliance with GMP requirements.
* Ensure all team members are properly trained, qualified, and working within their level of competence.
* Promote a strong Safety Culture, embedding safety ownership across shift team.
* Responsible for control of equipment set up, maintenance and cleaning as per SOP's.
* Lead, or appoint appropriate delegate, to ensure Root Cause Analysis is completed as required and appropriate corrective and preventative action (CAPA) is developed.
* Lead or facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to deliver operational efficiencies and cost reductions.
* Responsible for direct reports' performance management review.
* Ensure that Factory security is maintained at all times, which includes opening and locking of the factory during shift working hours.
* Responsible for Warehouse operators and associated activities present on site outside office hours.
* Deputise for Head of Operations when required
* Comply with all company local and global policies
* Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management

Qualifications:
* High School Education Level as a minimum
Knowledge/Experience:
* Relevant Production experience in a GMP environment
* Manufacturing pharmaceutical background desirable, but not essential
* Proven track record in leading both small and large multi-disciplined teams
* Lean management, Six Sigma experience desirable but not essential
