Salary from £55,000 with excellent benefits
Permanent/Hybrid Working Arrangement
Closing Date: 10th July 2026

Purpose
Supporting the delivery of key control system initiatives within the CSS Technical Delivery Team, you will focus on integrating the Core Services layer into the existing ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) platform which includes the creation and configuration of associated displays, system models and wider SCADA and control system integration activities.

Within this delivery-focused role, you will be responsible for coordinating technical activities across the full project lifecycle, providing technical oversight, design input and assurance, with increasing technical and design authority as solutions progress through design, implementation, testing and transition into operational service.

Responsibilities
Coordinating activities associated with the integration of the Core Services layer into the existing ADMS environment, you will lead and coordinate technical work packages covering ADMS configuration, display development, network model updates, system integration, testing support, implementation readiness and service transition activities.

Translating business, functional and operational requirements into clearly defined and deliverable technical outputs, working collaboratively with Project Managers, Engineers, Suppliers and Stakeholders, you will provide technical input into solution design, ensuring alignment with operational requirements, system architecture, integration strategies and delivery constraints.

Contributing to the configuration, integration and enhancement of ADMS, SCADA and related control system solutions across the CSS Technical Delivery portfolio, you will also support technical governance and design assurance processes, including the participation in design reviews, documentation assessment, risk identification and change control activities.

Taking ownership of technical issues, ensuring effective coordination of investigation, root cause analysis and resolution across internal teams and third-party suppliers, you will ensure all technical deliverables meet agreed quality standards, delivery milestones, cyber security requirements and operational readiness expectations, whilst providing technical support and leadership during testing, commissioning, implementation and transition into service, to ensure solutions are robust and fit for operational use.

Continually improving technical delivery practices, standardisation, system configuration approaches and integration methodologies, you will adopt a technical scope to coordinate and oversee technical activities relating to ADMS configuration, Core Services Layer integration, SCADA interfaces, control system displays and schematic/cartographic updates within operational systems.

Providing direct contribution to the successful delivery of CSS Technical Delivery initiatives, influencing delivery timelines, solution quality and operational readiness, you will also have involvement in requirement definition, design, configuration, integration, testing, implementation, commissioning and service transition.

Engaging within complex, safety-critical operational environments where system resilience, availability and data integrity are essential, you will have regular interaction with Project, Operational, Engineering, Cyber Security and Supplier Stakeholders to coordinate delivery and support decision-making.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate as minimum, your degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Experienced in working with ADMS, SCADA or similar control systems, you will be familiar with the technical delivery of control system or operational technology projects.

Utilising your understanding of control system integration, interfaces and real-time environments, you will bring your experience in ADMS display configuration, schematics, cartography or network modelling to coordinate technical activities, dependencies and issues across project lifecycles.

With strong analytical and problem-solving capability in complex environments, you will be able to deliver high-quality outputs across varied and challenging workloads.

Understanding Health and Safety principles in large-scale project delivery, you will be experienced with governance, design assurance, testing and change control processes.

You must be able to obtain and retain UK Security Clearance and business-specific authorisations (e.g. Substation Access).
