Risk Coordinator - HMRC & Excise
Location: Leven
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
38 Hours contract, Mon-Thurs 8am-4:45pm, 08am-01pm on Friday's
End date to Apply: 06th May

About the Role
As the Risk HMRC & Excise Coordinator within our team at Leven you will play a pivotal role in driving the risk and Customs & Excise (C&E) agendas and champion improvement across the site.
You will lead and be responsible for the management of C&E activities and requirements for Leven Packaging site ensuring we maintain our bonded warehouse status. You will act as HMRC appointed contact for site managing all HMRC approvals and notifications.
You will provide strong support to the Risk Manager across all areas of the Risk and Security Remit and act as deputy where required.

Key Responsibilities
* Management and coordination of risk management, security and C&E, enabling site to manage and control the risks faced to an acceptable level, via audit, policies, risk assessment, work instruction/procedures, training, management plans etc.
* Actively work to mitigate business and security risks
* Management and coordination of all Customs and Excise related activities including whisky verification / destruction approvals / stocktake submissions / site HMRC approvals
* Data analysis and reporting to all key stakeholders both Diageo and external
* Work alongside Risk Manager to manage all site risk/security plans (On site crisis and emergency plan, off site emergency response plan, BCP, BIA's, security plans etc.) and to manage crisis response procedures and requirements - including risk related training & writing, planning, delivery and documenting of live/table top exercises
* Known consignor/air cargo site security representative
* Ensure compliance with COMAH Regs as Leven site is an Upper Tier COMAH site

We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Solid experience in a similar role, or can demonstrate transferable skills
* Broad-based knowledge of risk issues affecting Diageo
* Ideally, an understanding of C&E legislation and COMAH requirements for an Upper Tier COMAH site
* A good understanding of relevant UK health, safety, environmental, and food safety legislation
* Strong computer and stakeholder management skills
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Professional qualification in NEBOSH or similar would be an advantage
